Massive midnight fireworks against Seoul’s tallest skyline. A classic!
You can expect heavy crowds so we suggest you to arrive early or watch from nearby streets and bridges.

Bosingak Bell Ceremony (Jongno)
Midnight | Bosingak Pavilion | Free
At midnight, the historic bell rings 33 times to welcome the new year. One of Seoul’s most symbolic NYE traditions, so arriving early is a must.

Gwanghwamun Square: Seoul Light (Jongno)
Evening – Late | Gwanghwamun Square | Free
Large-scale media art and light installations create a spacious, reflective countdown setting. A calmer option if you want visuals without the chaos.

Shinsegae Countdown Show (Myeongdong)
Evening – Midnight | Shinsegae Dept. Store | Free
Myeongdong’s iconic department store façade becomes the stage for visuals and a public countdown. Central, accessible, and very Seoul.

Hangang River NYE Dinner Cruise
Evening – Midnight | Hangang River | Reservation Required
Celebrate midnight floating past Seoul’s skyline with dinner and city lights all around. Quiet, romantic, and reservation-only.

HONGDAE AREA

• 서울은 너무 춥다 — Year End Show (Hongdae)

  A cult NYE mixing live bands and experimental DJs. Dark, loud, emotional, and unapologetically underground: very Hongdae, very real.
  

• WYBH Countdown Party (Hongdae)

  WYBH and friends take over Henz Club for a high-energy countdown. Straightforward club energy, packed floor, and a young crowd pushing past midnight.

  Just a short walk from Crybaby’s classy affair, Courte brings the groove. Expect 90s and 00s hip-hop and R&B, powered by some of Seoul’s finest DJs. Sponsored by Don Julio, this one’s set to feel special.
