SEOUL WEEKEND UPDATE (NOV 27-30)

Compiled by GSTV – your weekly city scroll of sounds, scenes, and things worth leaving the house for.

Seoul Fam, welcome back to another edition of the Seoul Weekend Update: your weekly guide to the best events, parties , exhibitions, live shows, and cultural happenings across the city.

Whether you’re looking to dance, discover, or decompress, we are here to save you from the “what should we do this weekend?” group chat spiral.

Not everyone has a flight home for Thanksgiving, so we’re bringing the feeling of home and friendship to Anguk.

Thursday Nov. 27th: GSTV Friendsgiving at Jack Jack (Anguk)

🎨 ON GOING EXHIBITIONS 🎨

Gallery STAN – “Rainy Season” by Seo Buwon (Nonhyeon)
Until Nov 30 | Gallery STAN | Free
Buwon is a painter based in Seoul, heavily using rabbits as a representation of himself. This exhibition mixes cuteness with bold, raw and sometimes funny twists. Vivid colors, tattoos alongside unexpected details, Rainy Season is a great discovery for anyone not familiar with the work of Buwon.

Who Made This? – Exhibition “grain • godray • bespoke” (Dongdaemun DDP)
Until Nov 30 | DDP Design Lab | Free Entry
The “Who Made This?” exhibition turns electronic music into something you can see: stretching sound into structure, light, and space. Drop by before the nighttime festa kicks off later this weekend; it’s a calm, immersive reset that still hits the same nerve as a good club night.

Mark Bradford: “Keep Walking” at APMA (Yongsan)
Until Jan 25 | Amorepacific Museum of Art | Ticketed Exhibition
Mark Bradford’s layered canvases turn flyers and found materials into a map of urban life and inequality. It’s dense, textured, and the kind of show you keep thinking about on the subway ride home. Strong daytime pick if you’re orbiting Yongsan.

NO excuse — Rapbong Solo Exhibition (Seoul Forest / Seongsu)
Until Nov 30 | Snap Pie Seoul Forest 3F | Free
Illustrator/artist Rapbong’s first solo show brings everyday objects, moods, and tiny obsessions into one intimate space. Drop by before or after a Seongsu coffee run and let a quiet floor of drawings reset your brain.

Exhibition – “Rest and Rise” (Eunpyeong-gu)
Until Nov 29 | Atelier Aechae | Free
A gentle, tactile exhibition exploring renewal through clay and metal. Quiet, meditative, and perfect for a post-weekend wind-down.

    7PM – 3AM | Canopy | Free

Canopy’s resident crew: Fox You, Devin, Sterling Silver, and Mellan, are on Friday night duty for Green Night, a no-cover, all-vibes session right across from Hamilton Hotel. It’s the kind of place where you can start with an afterwork drink and somehow stay till 3 AM without noticing.

THAT’S THE WRAP

If you’re staying in Seoul for the holidays, you’re not alone and that’s kind of the point of this whole thing tbh. From Friendsgiving plates at JackJack to silent morning raves in Bukchon and late-night listening sessions in Donggyo, the city is full of little pockets where strangers become weekend friends.

Screenshot this, share it, send it to the group chat that never makes plans until the day of. And if you see us GSTV anywhere this weekend, say hi, we’re probably the ones hovering near the DJ booth or the snack table (or by the bar like Moon and Andy Trust)🧡
