SEOUL WEEKEND UPDATE (JAN 8 - 12)

Curated by GSTV - The first week-end update of 2026 for y'all.

First Seoul Weekend Update of the year ✨

New calendar, same city that never really slows down.

January always hits a little different. Fewer crowds, sharper nights, better music, and space to move with intention. From deep club sessions and rooftop selectors to slow mornings and cultural resets, this weekend is about finding your rhythm again, at your own pace.

Whether you’re easing back in or jumping straight into the deep end, we’ve got you covered.

Until Feb 13 | Space K Seoul | Free
A quiet, emotional solo exhibition exploring inner emotions and relationships through ink and paint. Ideal for a calm cultural break before Saturday night.

THURSDAY – THE WARM UPS

  • ROOMMATES (Itaewon)

    10PM – Late | Bolero | TBA (but ₩20,000)

CWAR & JP take over Bolero with a stacked live lineup including SOKODOMO and SHINJIHANG. Expect chaotic energy, heavy crowd moments, and DJs keeping the room lit all night.

  • 나는 SULO Party (Sinchon)

    8PM – 12AM | 술찌 | ₩20,000

Jim Beam’s playful “solo escape project” kicks off the year with drinks, games, and surprise guests. Lighthearted, loud, and very Sinchon-coded.

FRIDAY – NOT AN EARLY NIGHT

  • UNDERCITY presents Hiroko Yamamura (Seongsu)

    9PM – 3:15AM | UNDERCITY | ₩25,000–₩40,000

Chicago techno royalty meets Seoul’s underground. Sharp, mechanical, and intense sets built for serious dance floors.

  • MMW 5 Years Anniversary (Itaewon)

    10PM – Late | Grain Haus | ₩20,000

Five years of MMW celebrated with an all-star DJ lineup and Grain’s signature no-genre, no-compromise energy. Anniversary nights here always go harder than expected.

  • JJ Mahoney’s Night (Grand Hyatt Seoul)

    8PM – 2:30AM | JJ Mahoney’s | ₩20,000–₩30,000

Deep selections, smooth transitions, and a refined crowd inside one of Seoul’s most iconic hotel lounges. This one’s about flow, not chaos.

  • UNLUCKYME (Seoul)

    10PM – Late | Cakeshop | ₩20,000

Ugly Duck, Javi Suh, and UNLUCKYME bring raw ghetto bass energy to start the year aggressive. If you like it loud, fast, and uncompromising, this is your move.

  • FUNKY FRESH 4 + 1 (Hannam)

Funk, disco, hip-hop, and breaks with veteran selectors who know exactly how to work a room. No trends, just groove.

Silent disco, caviar snacks, coffee, and beauty perks to start your Saturday differently. Yes, it’s real, and yes, it’s worth waking up (or after-partying to).

  • Three Drunk Mice (Itaewon)

    10PM – Late | Bolero

Loose, fun, and slightly unhinged. DJs rotate fast, energy stays high, and rat-year friends get perks if they show up early.

  • 1ANDON.1ST.01.10 (Itaewon)

    9PM – 4AM | Grain House

Ugly Duck, Soulscape, DJ Pool, and more in a deep, late-night Grain session. Heavy selectors, no shortcuts.

  • Lowkey: 3 Mentors, 3 Protégés (Apgujeong)

    7PM – 3AM | Lowkey Seoul

Mentor-protégé DJ pairs bring diverse sounds in a warm, intimate setting. Good R&B and Hip-hop, easy pace, zero pressure.

  • P.T.S.D Vol.9: Trauma Loop ft. Oli XL (Itaewon)

    10PM – Late | Cakeshop | ₩20,000 before midnight / ₩25,000 after

Stockholm-based producer Oli XL brings his warped, emotional club universe to Seoul. Expect tension-heavy builds, distorted releases, and a long night that blurs techno, bass, and experimental club energy.

  • NEO RAVE x HARD TECHNO NIGHT (Gangnam)

    11PM – 7AM | LUKA | ₩15,000–₩22,000

Berlin-style hard techno with Melonicita headlining. Fast BPMs, rave stabs, sirens, and relentless kicks designed for peak-time chaos and zero downtime until sunrise.

    8PM – 2:30AM | JJ Mahoney’s | ₩20,000–₩30,000

Twelve rising artists, seamless curation, and polished energy inside JJ Mahoney’s. A clean, high-end party without losing edge.

SUNDAY – ONE LAST LOOK

  • JNS x Closet Yi (Itaewon Rooftop)

    11PM – 5AM | Rooftop | ₩10,000 (+1 drink)

Two pillars of Seoul’s electronic scene meet for a late-night rooftop session. JNS’ refined electronic language pairs with Closet Yi’s sharp, dancefloor-driven house and techno selections. Intimate, serious, and built for listeners who stay until the end.

THAT’S THE WRAP

However you’re starting the year, just know you don’t have to do it on autopilot.

Go out, stay in, dance, listen, wander, reset. Seoul has room for all of it, and so do we. If you ever need recommendations, direction, or just want to tap into what’s happening next, GSTV’s always here.

See you somewhere out there 🖤

Until next weekend.
