This weekend is a literal fever dream of subcultures: we’ve got morning raves in Bukchon involving caviar, chess tournaments turned into raves in HBC, and Lil Pump appearing in Gangnam for some reason. It’s the kind of chaotic energy that makes Seoul, Seoul.

French painter David Jamin returns to Korea with his third solo exhibition. Known for vibrant, emotional brushstrokes that focus on the "joy of life," this is the move if you need a break from the industrial/techno vibes. Here’s what you need to know: it’s a high-fashion link-up featuring Japanese model/influencer Sir Cozy on the mic and a live set from rapper Rico. With Seoul legends Kingmck and Roots behind the decks, expect the energy to be high and the fits to be better. It’s a rare Thursday night heavyweight session!

• Mantra: Rupture Takeover (Itaewon)

  If you know anything about Jungle and DnB, you know Mantra. As the co-founder of Rupture, she’s been the backbone of the UK breakbeat scene for two decades.   Goldjunge Spirits is hosting a special night at Crybaby. If you’re looking for a more "sophisticated" Friday start with premium German spirits and a curated soundtrack in Apgujeong, this is the vibe. Bring the crew and start the night with proper drinks and good Hip-hop / R&B.
  

• Lowkey Hip-Hop Night (Apgujeong)

  If you need a break from the electronic noise, Lowkey is curating a solid Hip-hop and R&B night in the heart of Apgujeong. With Mooochang and Nuriko on the decks, it’s the perfect spot for table vibes and focused grooves. Smooth, low-key, and strictly for the adults.
